ZHOU SONG
Zhou explores the enigmatic realms of "New Nature", a world that encapsulates the present and future existential challenges of humanity. The artist builds on traditional Chinese philosophy, presenting a new interpretation of its key tenets through deconstruction, reconstruction, and innovation. Zhou depicts a "New Natural Landscape" of the contemporary world, aiming to explore and reflect on the existential challenges humanity faces and will continue to confront.
Graduated from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 2006, Zhou’s paintings thrive in a state of contradiction and openness questioning the potential outcomes of contemporary sciences, or the impact of the constant expansion of the universe on human desire and destiny,
-
Zhou’s paintings, combining passages of intense realism with forms that manifest in the cognitive or non-physical world, are executed in a style that obscures the use of the artist’s tools, paint, paintbrush, and pencil.
In recent years, he has held solo exhibitions at the Powerlong Museum in Shanghai, Osthaus Museum in Hagen, the Kunstraum Villa Friede in Bonn, the Guardian Art Center in Beijing, the How Art Museum and the Today Art Museum. His work has also been exhibited in group exhibitions nationally and internationally, including at NordArt 2024 and NordArt2022 in Budelsdorf, the European Cultural Centre Art Biennale in Venice, the 13th Havana Biennale, the 3rd International Robo-Philosophy 2018. Conference in Vienna, the 11th Florence Biennale in Italy, Museum of
Modern Art in Barcelona, the Grand Palace in France, the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, the University of Vienna, the European Art Center in Venice, the YBL Creative House in Budapest, Sotheby's in Los Angeles, the Toronto Center for the Arts, Palacio Schacht in Chile, the Inga Garcilaso Culture Center in Peru, the Panama Contemporary Art Gallery, the Costa Rica National Gallery, the National Art Museum of China.
Zhou has received many important awards, graduating with the first place BFA thesis from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts (2006) and placing bronze at the National Art Academy’s Excellent Work exhibition (2006), as well as receiving the "Painting Award" at the 5th May 4th International Youth Art Festival (2012) and the "Lorenzo International Installation Art Award” at the 11th Florence Biennale (2017).
HORACIO QUIROZ
Horacio has developed a body of work that combines inherent oppositions, blending the beautiful with the grotesque, utopia with dystopia, and the familiar with the unknown. Drawing inspiration from Mexico's vibrant hues and bustling streets, Quiroz’s work delves into humanity's role within the broader ecological narrative. He reflects on the paradox of being starborn entities who have become agents of environmental degradation, inviting viewers to ponder our cosmic origins and our responsibility toward the Earth
-
The rocky formations in Quiroz’s paintings similarly echo Greek mythology's tales of creation and metamorphosis. Rocks in Quiroz’s art represent cosmic, geological, and human time, embodying the idea of containing chaos within a volume. This creative flexibility allows him to construct bodies that challenge conventional forms and perceptions of the body.
Quiroz has exhibited his work internationally in institutions, galleries, and fairs within Europe, the UK, China, Korea, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and the United States. Recent solo presentations include Cosmic Debris at JD Malat Gallery, London (2024), Lithopanspermia (solo booth) en UVNT ART FAIR with S Gallery, Madrid (2024), Goddesses of Spoiled Lands at Annka Kultys Gallery, London (2023), Retinas de Medusa at Galería Enrique Guerrero, México City (2022), Disturbingly Lively at Galería Colector, Monterrey NL, Mexico (2020), and Polarities at Booth Gallery, New York City (2018).
His work is held in numerous collections including the Beth Rudin de Woody Collection and Colección Mer and he has undertaken international residencies including the PLOP Residency in 2021 in London. KEBEYO CHEN
Kebeyo Chen is a Shanghai-based artist renowned for her intricate framing and sculptural elements, which suggest passage into alternative dimensions where perception itself is questioned. Her work represents the next frontier of art beyond the canvas.
Her distinct artistic vision has led to unique brand collaborations with Astroboy, Mini Cooper, and Garfield, as well as several notable exhibitions. She has showcased her work at the Florence Biennale in Italy and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai.
-
Kebeyo Chen’s paintings are more than just images; framed by intricate, sculptural borders that blur the line between artwork and architectural relic. Each frame is ornated, twisted, and deeply textured and acts as an entryway, inviting the viewer to step inside while reminding them of the constructed nature of perception.
Kebeyo was born in 1984 in Shanghai where she graduated from Fine Arts College of Shanghai majoring in oil painting.

More about the works presented during ART RUSSIA 2025 Fair
In this exhibition, her works take on an almost dreamlike duality. Ethereal visions of forests where the trees seem to breathe, creatures that appear as fleeting specters of memory.
Drawing from cultural myths and personal narratives, Chen’s work transforms traditional storytelling into layered visual experiences, where the physical world and the subconscious intertwine. Her paintings don’t just depict nature; they shape the way we see it, reminding us that imagination is the most powerful lens of all.
Kebeyo Chen Sculptures are echoes and whispering forms of the subconscious
Kebeyo Chen’s sculptures act as memory-keepers of a world just beyond reach. They might resemble fossilized myths, petrified spirits, or remnants of landscapes from another realm. Their fluid, interwoven textures suggest transformation rock becoming flesh, roots becoming veins, history merging with the present in a single, undulating form. These works challenge the boundaries of what is seen and what is felt, reinforcing the exhibition’s central theme: that nature and imagination are inseparable forces, shaping the stories we tell and the worlds we create.
NINA SECHKO
Nina’s paintings unfold like visual poetry, weaving together mythology, personal history, and universal symbols of femininity and renewal. Rooted in her experience of growing up surrounded by strong women, her mother, grandmother, sister, and now her own daughters, her work reflects the warmth and care passed down through generations.
Her paintings become meditations on life’s cyclical nature, where for example an apple tree serves as both a deeply personal and archetypal metaphor.
-
The apple tree in her work is more than a motif, it is a symbol of fertility, continuity, and the inevitability of change. Like a woman, the tree exists in phases: blooming, bearing fruit, shedding its apples, and resting in winter.
Nina Sechko was born in1992, Moscow, Russia and in 2015 she graduated with honors from Moscow State Medical University . From 2016 to 2018 she completed residency in maxillofacial surgery

More about the works presented during ART RUSSIA 2025
The apples themselves become stand-ins for human life, fragile yet inevitable, nurtured yet subject to fate. In Harvesting, the contrast between apples still clinging to the tree and those that have fallen speaks to the unpredictable nature of existence, where a gust of wind or an unseen hand can alter one’s path in an instant.
Through a restrained yet powerful use of light, always emanating from a single source, Nina evokes the spiritual dimension of these works, subtly referencing the presence of the divine. Drawing from Greek mythology, Slavic folklore, and religious iconography, her paintings transcend the personal to become a shared human narrative, reminding us that we are all part of the same eternal rhythm of growth, transformation, and renewal.
Nina Sechko’s sculptures: Earth, Femininity, and Sacred Form
Nina’s sculptures stand as echoes of ancient fertility goddesses, grounding her exploration of womanhood in something primal and eternal. Inspired by pre-historic depictions of female deities, her figures emphasize rounded forms, seated postures, and a profound connection to the earth.
These works do not merely depict women; they embody the essence of femininity as a force of creation, resilience, and cyclical renewal.
The exaggerated hips and grounded postures speak to the deep-rooted relationship between women and the natural world, reflecting the same cycles seen in her paintings of the apple tree—birth, growth, decline, and rebirth.
Her use of mythology continues in sculptural form, where references to the Hesperides, the Greek nymphs guarding the sacred apple tree merge with the spiritual weight of Slavic and Buddhist traditions. The figures, solid and timeless, remind us of the unbroken lineage of feminine energy that has nurtured, protected, and sustained life throughout history.
In these works, Nina invites the viewer to experience femininity not just as an aesthetic subject, but as a sacred and universal creation.

Mythic Beasts in a Surreal Wilderness
Jordy Kerwick’s paintings unravel like modern-day fables, where animals and landscapes exist in a dreamlike state—familiar yet untamed, primal yet poetic. His textured layers and distinctive use of color create a world where tigers, wolves, and serpents move freely between the real and the mythical. Rooted in his Australian identity, Kerwick channels the vastness of the wild landscape into his compositions, transforming nature into a theater of surreal storytelling.

The Tiger Sculpture: The Tiger’s Gaze – A Totem of Strength and Illusion
Kerwick’s double jaw tiger head sculpture emerges as guardian of the Dreamscape—watchful, bold, and enigmatic. Crafted with raw materiality and an almost ritualistic simplicity, these work bridge the physicality of sculpture with the psychological depth of mythology. The tiger, often a central figure in his paintings, now takes three-dimensional form, standing as both a symbol of strength and an illusion of control.
Drawing from ancient totems and modern surrealism, Kerwick’s sculptural tiger stares at the viewer with a 3rd eye unwavering and full of presence evokes the primal connection between humans and nature, a reminder of our instinctual selves.
KIM HYUN-HEE
Artist Hyun-hee Kim explores the possibilities of the future by combining familiar and faded images from the past with modern materials. Kim focuses on the fact that furniture is a slow-moving medium that becomes a part of daily life and brings about change, and tells a story through the solidarity medium of traditional Korean furniture. In particular, she pays attention to ‘Gyubang furniture’ (Gyubang means the inner space of the house), which was used in the living space of women in the past, and redefines classical beauty as a present value. She expresses her awareness of problems in her daily life, such as liberation from stereotypes surrounding gender issues and rediscovery of the value of everyday life, which are taken lightly, through furniture. She focuses on the living space of women in the Joseon Dynasty and women’s room furniture, redefining classical beauty as a modern value. Her furniture uses transparent and translucent materials to eliminate existing walls, erases the boundaries between inside and outside, and attempts to communicate with the world by breaking down the boundaries
Kim’s creative brilliance has attracted prestigious global brands with Rimowa and Cartier, and her work and vision have been featured in leading fashion publications including Vogue and Elle.
