KEBEYO CHEN

Kebeyo Chen is a Shanghai-based artist renowned for her intricate framing and sculptural elements, which suggest passage into alternative dimensions where perception itself is questioned. Her work represents the next frontier of art beyond the canvas.

Her distinct artistic vision has led to unique brand collaborations with Astroboy, Mini Cooper, and Garfield, as well as several notable exhibitions. She has showcased her work at the Florence Biennale in Italy and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai.

Kebeyo Chen’s paintings are more than just images; framed by intricate, sculptural borders that blur the line between artwork and architectural relic. Each frame is ornated, twisted, and deeply textured and acts as an entryway, inviting the viewer to step inside while reminding them of the constructed nature of perception.

BIOGRAPHY

Kebeyo was born in 1984 in Shanghai where she graduated from Fine Arts College of Shanghai majoring in oil painting.
