A surreal painting of two large silver pencils crossed in front of a dark green tree, with a landscape of mountains and a river in the background. The base of the pencils shows pink erasers with metal bands.

ZHOU SONG

29th November 2025 - 10th January 2026

“Post-Landscape” Zhou Song’s First Solo Exhibition in Russia. Gestures toward a transcendence and rethinking of the traditional notion of landscape in conjonction with the inauguration of Zhou Song new sculpture in Moscow Skolkovo Park.

Here, the landscape is no longer a mere object of human gaze, nor a site solely shaped by human will, but is reinterpreted within the framework of the post-human. In Zhou Song’s work, the landscape emerges as a hybrid field where the human and the non-human, nature and technology, the real and the virtual intertwine. It encompasses the reconfiguration of industrial remnants, urban peripheries, and fragments of nature, while also incorporating artificial intelligence, virtual imagery, and digital narratives. Within such a post-landscape, the human is no longer the sole protagonist, but one among multiple co-existing beings machines, plants, animals, matter, and information.

This project marks not only an important milestone in Zhou Song artistic practice, but also an experimental inquiry into the very idea of a post-human landscape. It invites the audience to reflect: in the age of the post-industrial and the post-natural, how should we reimagine the landscape, and how should we reposition humanity within it?
