JORDY KERWICK
Jordy Kerwick’s paintings unravel like modern-day fables, where animals and landscapes exist in a dreamlike state—familiar yet untamed, primal yet poetic. His textured layers and distinctive use of color create a world where tigers, wolves, and serpents move freely between the real and the mythical. Rooted in his Australian identity, Kerwick channels the vastness of the wild landscape into his compositions, transforming nature into a theater of surreal storytelling.
Jordy has rapidly gained global recognition with his distinctive style which is characterised by textured compositions rich in pattern and color, achieved through the use of oil, acrylic, and spray paint on canvas.
His work has been showcased in several notable exhibitions, including a solo exhibition at the National Museum of Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, Spain, Vito Schnabel Gallery in St. Moritz, Switzerland , Carl Kostyal, Milan and has entered notable permanent collections such as Reina Sofia Museo, ICA Miami, Florida, USA, Fulton Ryder (Richard Prince), NYC, USA to name a few ..
