Nina Sechko is a contemporary artist whose practice examines the contemplation of self, evoking emotional resonance with the viewer through a visual language that is at once intimate, playful, and subtly infused with humour drawn from the natural world. Her paintings unfold like visual poetry, weaving together personal memories, and universal symbols of femininity. Exclusively represented by ROBINEAU, Sechko's work forms part of a broader curatorial discourse centred on sensitivity, movement, and emotional presence.
ROBINEAU holds exclusive worldwide representation of the artist and has built her international programme from the outset. In September 2026 the gallery presents her first international solo presentation at Kiaf SEOUL, the fair's 25th-anniversary edition, followed by a group presentation at ART021 Shanghai.

Sechko established her Moscow studio in 2018, after graduating with honours from medical school in Moscow in 2015 and completing her residency in maxillofacial surgery. Her international trajectory began with Connecting Past to Present at Lutra Gallery, Shanghai, in 2024. In 2025 it continued through ROBINEAU's exhibition Mon Chéri, J'ai Faim, a pop-up during Art Basel Paris week, and a group exhibition at JPS Gallery in Korea.
In Moscow, ROBINEAU placed her work in PORTAL and INFRA / ULTRA in 2026. PORTAL included James Jean and Jordy Kerwick, whose works are held by Reina Sofía and ICA Miami. Across Shanghai, Paris and the forthcoming Seoul presentation, the gallery has developed Sechko's context rather than keeping her market local.
In 2025, The Apple of Whispers entered The YES Collection of Charles Al Sidaoui, Dubai, a private collection of more than 150 works from over 20 countries, spanning artists from Roy Lichtenstein to Diana Al Hadid, that has been exhibited at Sotheby's Dubai and The Arts Club Dubai.
The Kiaf SEOUL Presentation
From 2 to 6 September 2026, ROBINEAU will present Sechko's first international solo presentation at Kiaf SEOUL, held at COEX alongside Frieze Seoul. ROBINEAU is confirmed on the official exhibitor index and is one of only a handful of Russian galleries on the roster. The silver-anniversary edition brings together 175 galleries from 18 countries and territories.
Titled The Room of Light Preservation, the presentation is conceived as a single immersive, meditative environment drawing on Daoist philosophy: a suite of new oil paintings surrounding a central sculpture, staged so that the room itself carries the theme of light held, protected and passed on. Two figures support a box above their heads; inside it, a girl holds a softly glowing pearl. The balanced structure sustains light through shared responsibility, while the box protects what is essential. The pearl refers to the Daoist Inner Pearl, neidan zhu, symbolising condensed vital energy and inner cultivation.
The signed sculpture, an edition of 3 + 1 AP, uses resin, stainless steel, ABS plastic, LED and oil painting. With its pedestal, it measures 180 × 150 × 65 cm; an accompanying oil painting measures 390 × 630 mm. Sechko states: “My compositions reflect the Daoist principle of wu wei, in which influence emerges through restraint and alignment rather than force.”
A Moscow gallery presenting a Daoist-informed installation to a Korean audience is a genuine act of cultural translation, and a solo presentation at Kiaf's 25th-anniversary edition is an unusual platform at this career stage. A related presentation will follow at ART021 Shanghai, where Sechko will be shown in a group presentation with Vowa Mank.

The Primary Market Record
ROBINEAU is publishing its audited primary records, a level of transparency that few galleries provide. The gallery has raised Sechko's primary price level in each of four consecutive years. According to the audited record, the average price of her works has moved year on year from $1,948 in 2022 to $2,987 in 2023, $3,050 in 2024, $5,401 in 2025 and $6,524 in 2026 to date.
A 180 × 180 cm canvas sold directly from the studio in 2022, before representation, for approximately $2,000; the gallery price for the same format is now $9,500. Current primary prices range from approximately $1,300 for the smallest formats to $22,000 for the two-metre Kiaf SEOUL centrepiece. Her production has grown in step: one catalogued work in 2022, two in 2023, four in 2024, fifteen in 2025 and fifteen in 2026 to date, including the new paintings prepared for Kiaf SEOUL.
From 11 January to 3 July 2026, ROBINEAU logged 25 direct enquiries, including 20 from collectors, plus press and trade interest. Enquiries came from eight countries: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the United States, France, Russia, Turkey and Denmark.
These primary prices are set and controlled by the gallery; no secondary market yet exists.
Assessment
The following assessment draws on ROBINEAU's direct curatorial experience with the artist, together with the gallery's own audited primary market records and publicly verifiable exhibition and fair data.
Technical Distinction : VERY STRONG
Sechko's treatment of oil combines surgical anatomical knowledge with the visual language of satin-stitch embroidery. The method connects bodily tactility, craft tradition and contemporary figurative imagery in a recognisable language.
International Trajectory : ACCELERATING
Her work has appeared in Shanghai, Paris and South Korea since 2024, with Seoul scheduled for September 2026 and a group presentation with Vowa Mank to follow at ART021 Shanghai. Kiaf will be her first international solo presentation and her first major international fair, an external market test.
Institutional Recognition : EARLY
There are no museum or institutional collections to date. The YES Collection placement is meaningful private-collection context, but it is not institutional recognition. ROBINEAU is currently in preliminary discussion with the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art in Moscow regarding Sechko's work; no acquisition has yet been concluded.
Auction History : NONE (primary market only)
Sechko has no auction record and no secondary-market history. There are therefore no resale comparables, open-market price benchmarks or liquidity data.
Primary Market Discipline : ESTABLISHED
ROBINEAU's audited records show gallery-set increases in every year since representation began, applied at a measured pace that protects the position of earlier collectors.
Collector Demand : BROADENING
The gallery's enquiry log records sustained interest across the first half of 2026, originating in eight countries and spanning the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the United States.
Scarcity and Representation : STRONG
ROBINEAU holds exclusive worldwide representation, so primary-market access is managed through one gallery relationship. Edition works are produced in very small quantities: the Kiaf sculpture is limited to an edition of 3 + 1 AP.
Entry Point : GROUND FLOOR
Collectors are encountering Sechko before any auction record or institutional collection exists. That defines an early primary-market position, not evidence of future market performance.
Why Collectors Are Paying Attention to Nina Sechko Now
A market moment that favours her exact segment. Ultra-contemporary art, the market term for work by artists born after 1974, has become the fastest-growing corner of the international art market, and young figurative painters stand at the centre of that attention. Born in 1992, Sechko belongs to precisely this segment.
A recognisable early-stage pattern. The recent careers of Julie Curtiss, Flora Yukhnovich and Shara Hughes followed a familiar arc: a distinctive visual language, disciplined primary placement through a single gallery, international fair exposure, and only then institutional and secondary-market attention. Their outcomes do not predict Sechko's, but the structure being built around her follows the same early-stage logic.
A compressed season of external milestones. Career stages that usually unfold over years are converging within months: a first solo presentation at a major international fair in Seoul in September, followed by a group presentation with Vowa Mank at ART021 Shanghai.
Controlled, first-cohort access. Exclusive worldwide representation, the absence of any secondary market and edition works produced in very small quantities mean that collectors entering now form the first cohort of her market, on terms set, documented and published by the gallery.

Market Stage and Considerations for Collectors
Sechko is at the earliest stage of a market. There is no auction record and no secondary-market benchmark yet; every work in circulation has been placed at primary prices through a single gallery. For collectors, that absence is the entry point: it is the one stage of a career that cannot be revisited once external validation arrives.
Independent attention has begun. Her work featured in the July 2025 press feature “How Artists See Moscow” and in “Love & Light: Nina Sechko”, published in April 2026 by G3N3RATION, an international print and digital art publication dedicated to the next generation of artists. Third-party database presence on platforms such as Artsy and Artnet will follow the market rather than precede it; today, the primary record published above is the fullest picture available anywhere.
Within Russia, Sechko's position is one of a kind: a young artist combining a surgeon's training, worldwide exclusive representation, a published primary price record and an international fair programme. In the gallery's assessment, no comparable combination currently exists among Russian artists of her generation.
The considerations are straightforward and openly disclosed: primary prices are set and controlled by the gallery, the enquiry log records interest rather than sales, and Kiaf SEOUL lies ahead. That is exactly why the present window matters. Entry at this stage is available only before external validation arrives, and it rewards collectors who acquire on the strength of the practice and hold with a collector's patience.
Nina Sechko is an early-stage artist with a technically distinctive practice, an exclusively managed international programme and a season of externally verifiable milestones ahead. ROBINEAU's case rests on what is documented: the method, the exhibition trajectory, the private-collection placement, the audited primary price record and documented international enquiry. What remains ahead, institutional recognition and a secondary market, defines the scale of the opportunity rather than diminishing it. For collectors prepared to enter at the stage where careers are built, few positions in the Russian ultra-contemporary field are as clearly articulated.
