Apple harvest
Nina’s largest scale painting to-date, centers on the apple tree as a symbol of life’s cyclical nature growth, fertility, loss, and renewal. Inspired by the strong women in her life, she portrays the tree as a metaphor for femininity, echoing the phases of a woman’s life.
Apples in her work represent human fate, some still clinging to the tree, others fallen, subject to forces beyond their control. Through a single, ethereal light source and references to mythology and folklore, Nina’s paintings connect the personal with the universal, reminding us of our shared journey through change and renewal.
